Vignettes about sex as a meaningful experience
Shorts that emphasise the transcendent in the physics: p ornographic stories about being meaningfully changed as a person by a sexual experience. Really careful to illustrate the particulars of the act; a wet-looking comic for vital reasons.

    More erection-centric than usual
The average amount of character establishment in chapter one (basically none) but more of a joyful focus on phallus than usual, and pretty good sequence-of-event escalation. Less afraid/ashamed of sex than most “oh no I’m having sex with someone” jerk-off josei titles.

    Standard with a little extra
This review contains spoilers. Pretty much the platonic office lady romance; she’s around thirty and has no experience with men because… she spent her youth selflessly devoted to her many brothers and sisters! A sexy rich guy is interested in her because… she was nice to him as a lonely child! Her substandard flirtation ability is important to improve because… people at her job will like her more if she work on her charm! Everything is optimised for non-confrontational, mild, basic good-girl wish fulfilment. But I keep reading because every now and then Youka drops in a little, tiny hint of “But is he… evil?” It’s paced really effectively to keep my interest ticking over.

    Romantic imagery, practical storytelling
Really effective collaboration between an artist with definite preoccupations (or at least talents) and a writer with firm grasp of serial rhythm. Costume research and keenly observed character design, as well as luscious hair illustration and classic romantic layout cartooning are given pleasing range, and each chapter contains its own satisfying, world-building capsule story while the greater plot—the one in the title—gets to its feet. This is a good example of why team-up cartooning can be so good for a book: everybody gets to concentrate on what they’re really good at, and no time or page space is wasted.

    Pretty good
Dishy central dynamic, but kind of hectic! The complicated male lead is compelling, and so is the supporting character drama, but the office/work scenes feel a little rote.

    Pros & cons
A comic about getting pounded by a nice, muscular babe that begins with body shaming and weight numbers. Read at own risk

Sexual dysfunction as a site of romance
This review contains spoilers. Placing what makes its characters sexually insecure directly at the centre of their relationship story is a really good move; so is making their emotional relationship fully positive and supportive. The guy in this has erectile dysfunction, which is the kind of thing romance erotica was made to address, really, isn’t it?

    Compassion thru erotica
Deeply involving book about bizarre freaks (normal-looking men) and TRUE LOVE. Incredibly pro-humanity in a sexually repressed world. Excellent excellent comic!

    Rhythmic method
The rhythm of this comic makes it very funny! The comedy doesn’t undermine the main character, only enhances her presence and determination. The chapters are short, but in a “perfect bitesize” way.

    Practically perfect
Incredibly well-handled and well-balanced emotional scale; subtle and audacious both at once. Some REALLY cute drawing. Great comic
